  • Where's the finalized schedule?

    We're doing things differently! You won't find it online! When you pick up your badge, you'll receive a newspaper with everything in it. That's right, the topics, people, timing, etc. will all be revealed on-site when you arrive on Monday. :)

  • What are the house rules?

    1. Expect the unexpected – The music business is unpredictable. We’re trying to match that energy here. We hope you’ll embrace our spontaneous nature and surprises. 
    2. Patience is our virtue – This is our first year. We may or may not have any idea what the f*ck we’re doing, so we would appreciate your understanding in advance. 
    3. Participate in the ‘Living Room’ – This main area where we’ll live, laugh, love … and learn. In all seriousness, this is where all segments and moments will take place. Pull up a chair and put your phone away (except to record our amazing performers).
    4. We all make up the home – Our ‘Houseguests’ and ‘Neighbors’ are what make our business shine. Put some respect on each other's names and listen to one another.
    5. Retreat to the ‘Play Room’ – When needed, it’s where you can simply get away from the chaos, play games, take a meeting, talk on the phone…or talk to yourself. 
    6. Drink some water and stretch – Conferences are exhausting. Make sure to take care of yourself. Get some fresh air on the lawn and listen to the beautiful sounds of construction throughout Nashville.
    7. Make the music business more human – always be humble and kind.
  • Is there parking available?

    There is limited street parking on Music Row within walking distance of the hotel. There is also discounted valet parking at Virgin Hotels Nashville for $15 plus tip. Use code VHNHITSHOME for valet at the hotel.

  • Is there a dress code?

    Wear whatever you want! There is no dress code for this event.

  • Can I take pictures or videos of the event?

    Pictures and videos of the event are permitted. We do recommend being in the moment and not having phones or computers out as much as possible throughout the event. We want you to live in the moment! :)

  • Will there be meals at the event?

    There will be lite bites during the Welcome Party Sunday night. On Monday, there will be breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack provided. For Tuesday's brunch on the pool rooftop of Virgin Hotels Nashville, there will be food available.


    For late night events including Broadway Night and NO EGO SO EMO, you'll be on your own.

  • Where can I get coffee or snacks?

    There will be coffee available during breakfast and the brunch at the conference, with limited availability potentially throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis. 


    There is also coffee available at the Funny Library in the lobby. Lines will be long, and there will typically only be one staff member available serving in that location, so make sure to take advantage of the coffee upstairs in the conference space during meal times.

  • Where can I take meetings on Tuesday?

    We have two locations specifically for HITS HOME attendees and Nashville neighbors.


    1. Ampersand Studios – this is for your typical meeting spaces and more formal meetups. You can also book an office space here, or show up and show your badge to gain access to the co-working space.


    2. TailGate Brewery Music Midtown – grabbing a beer, less formal meetings, and casual hangs with a purpose. 

  • Can I store things at the event?

    Please carry all personal belongings with you. We are not responsible for any lost or missing items. Depending on the size of the item and the necessity, please check in with the front desk in the lobby for possible storage options.

  • Is there an attendee list or app?

    We're all about being spontaneous and in the moment! With that in mind, we won't be having an app or attendee list in order for you to be human and connect in an organic way.

  • Who are "Neighbors" and "Houseguests"?

    No matter where you are in the room, we want everyone to have a say in the event. "Houseguests" are those who will be contributing to the event on stage. "Neighbors" are the attendees who will help drive conversations from the audience.

  • Where are official HITS HOME events taking place?

    All programming during HITS HOME will be on the 2nd Floor of Virgin Hotels Nashville in "The Living Room" (The Great Ballroom). For meetings on Monday, you can use "The Play Room" (The Manor Ballroom) on the 2nd Floor of the hotel.


    For off-site HITS HOME events, Music Industry Broadway Night will be at JBJ's Nashville and NO EGO SO EMO, Lakeside Lounge.


    On Tuesday, you can use either TailGate Brewery or Ampersand Studios for meetings/work spaces.

  • Do I need to RSVP to the off-site events?

    Yes! HITS HOME attendees will get a free drink ticket. Attendees can also bring friends/guests with them.

  • Will any programming be recorded?

    No.

  • What's the Wifi?
