KATIE STUDLEY

Head of Nashville Editorial

Spotify

A player in the Nashville recorded music industry since earning her degree in Musicology in 2005, Katie Studley has spent the past two decades stewarding records from the artist’s hands to the artist’s fans. She currently serves as Head of Nashville Editorial at Spotify, leading a team of editors across multiple genres, including country and rock/alternative. Before joining Spotify, Studley led a team that delivered white-glove release campaigns for artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Max McNown, and Russell Dickerson as Nashville VP at distribution leader The Orchard

Previously, Studley spent ten years at Jack White’s Third Man Records, serving as VP of Operations and Marketing Director. There, she built a record-breaking label team, spearheaded the diversification of Third Man’s business, and oversaw major releases for Jack White, The Raconteurs, Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Margo Price, Coldplay, and others—earning three #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200.

Studley began her career in artist development and marketing at a then-nascent Thirty Tigers, where she contributed to the rapid rise of artists like the Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell, and more.
